Introduction to the Westminster School League

The London Basketball Association is thrilled to announce the forth season of the ‘City of Westminster’ High School League and Tournaments. A platform which will allow many teams and individuals to take part in real basketball games and everything that comes with it! It’s going to be super exciting as we have 3 stages to get through which are sure to be full of nail-biting stuff! This season we raise the bar slightly and have some spectacular benefits. Categories will be given two divisions where possible, “A Division” will have a form of home & away, as it’s designed to meet the needs of the stronger basketball programs in borough. “Division B” will be round robin as previous seasons And a great place for schools to compete against their rivals. Other benefits are giving access to the “Krossover” tool, which NBA use to generate stats and highlights, having 2 referees at the U16 divisions and we have aims to get all players qualified as basketball professionals (Level 1 as coaches, table officials and referees).

As usual, LBA will assist in organizing referees, be the hub to stay in the know with the latest results and upcoming fixtures. The LBA will also be accepting photographs, as well as pre & post-game player interviews, and great video clips on the event, all of which will be posted on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages, as well as the LBA website. The exposure they receive through this program will not only benefit the students themselves but the respective schools that they are playing for. On top of all of this, the students will get to play a high-quality organized tournaments which happen annually at one of the top courts in London, the American School in London.

From the great success we’ve already had in our school competitions you can rest assured that students participating in the LBA competitions will have the experience of a lifetime, so drop what you’re doing and get your school to sign up today!
