(1) LBA “Get Qualifed” Programme | Project Manager

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. We have all process and systems in place to make this run smoothly, just need someone to manage it
  2. We have an annual schedule (but not limited to):
  3. We want this project to run as intended
  4. Make sure the website is up-to-date and accurate
    • People need to be able to sign up in advance
  5. Work with marketing department to make sure campaigns are set up that are relevant/accurate
  6. Arrange all logistics such as:
    • Booking venues
    • Book tutors and make sure they have everything they need
    • Course resources
    • Attire and other equipment
  7. Work with candidates via website portal ensuring they are prepared
  8. Ensure data required is collected in an orderly fashion
  9. Create a report based off the data
  10. Contact relevant groups and individuals in order to seek out new and future clients and participants
  11. Potential to have to attend sessions
PERSON SPECIFICATION / SKILLS  
  • Preferably background in Sports (ideally in Basketball)
  • Computer literate (or willing to learn with LBA training)
  • Communication Skills

Position: Project Manager | LBA “Get Qualified” Programme

Relevant Information:

  • We run a number of courses during every school holiday period: February, Easter, May, Summer, October, Christmas.
  • We’ve structured this contract around these 6 holiday periods, however there may be other courses that arise in an ad-hoc fashion.
  • With this said, we have estimated an average of 16 hours of work for each holiday period.
  • The ad-hoc sessions have been built into the 16 hours.

Salary:
Pay: 10 per hour
Bonus of 150 for selling out two-thirds of courses in any given holiday period
Total: 1,000 + bonuses

(2) Social Media Manager

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Manage LBA social media platforms reposting any relevant material/content
  2. Include: breaking news, “jumping on the bandwagon”, anything in the following categories: London Basketball, health benefits, quotes, unique/out of the box basketball events throughout the world- relate everything with caption
  3. Hootsuite platform to manage all social media– plan boosts, posts, graphics, captions, etc.
    • “Throwback Thursday”
    • “Workout Wednesday”
    • “Follow Friday”
  4. Annual schedule:
    • Campaigns: 80% generic- run campaigns when time. Boost campaigns- partly paid for and partly not.
    • Set up campaign and LBA will pay for it
    • Templates already exist for most campaigns with price structure that we use
  5. Responding to people on Twitter & Facebook– will have to know the LBA inside and out. Most answers will be found on the website or other documents. If not, will have to ask the question to get the answer to reply.
  6. Increase social media followers:
    • Tactic: Follow ‘relevant’ fans, then unfollow after 2 weeks etc.
      hashtagging
    • Target for followers: 10,000 total followers in 6 months?
  7. Work with all project managers to ensure proper campaigns are set up and ready to go
  8. Make sure website is in line with social media side of LBA
  9. Minimum of 2 half days in the office per week
  10. Might need to capture photos and video footage themselves

(3) Social Media Creator

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Work with the social media manager to create any relevant videos, photos, graphics, etc.
  2. We have accounts to help make videos and image creations viable
    • We have login details
    • Example: we need video for this topic based on this criteria
    • Get link to Google photos, certain albums
    • Get sponsors logos
    • Choose music- not copyrighted, specific genre

(4) Grant Writer

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Write applications to various different grants on behalf of the LBA
  2. Use “research data” in grants application to strength success rate
  3. Get to know and understand LBA holistically (read reports, ask questions, spend time with the team an check out events.
  4. To contribute to the development of funding relationships and partnerships.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Write articles- spin doctor
  2. Write newsletters
    • Ideally will then post on website
  3. Get our article into certain commercial media avenues
  4. Given bullet points, topics, context, pictures and then leave for them to create a GOOD piece of writing

    • Screening and meeting suitable candidates to support viability for roles
    • Posting and Editing voluntary & paid vacancies on platforms we have accounts with
    • Interview applicants on the Telephone, Skype or face to face
    • Sending out application packs, offer letters and ID checklist
  3. Policies:
    • Keep policies up-to-date
    • We have about 20, could do 3 a month
  4. Sub jobs roles may include- Lease with other LBA staff/departments where needed
    • Input ideas in Recruitment strategy discussions with the Co-Founder
